“Laura was such a pleasure to work with this past week. She took the time to learn about my daughter and the behaviors we were seeing at home. She then gave us specific strategies that she believed would be successful. We saw a difference immediately after implementing her suggestions. Laura is knowledgeable, kind, and understanding. I would highly recommend her!”

“A few months ago, I got in touch with Laura to get her take on an ongoing conflict that I was having with my teenage daughter. I felt I needed an unbiased person to act as a sounding board, but Laura proved to be so much more. Working with Laura is like working with a friend. She is an amazing listener and picked up on so many hidden nuances in things I was relating to her. Hearing her repeat back something I had said really shed light on the issue. She also guided the conversation in such a way that I found myself understanding things in a way I hadn’t considered before. I began the conversation feeling frustrated and left feeling hopeful and armed with a strategy. Later, I received an email outlining what we had discussed and a plan to move forward. While the conflict is not entirely resolved, we are working towards resolution with a new approach and a lot fewer hurt feelings all around. I HIGHLY recommend working with Laura on any parent coaching or child behavior issues you might need help with. You’ll wish you called her sooner! Rating: 5 stars!!

“Laura was a huge help to us when our family transitioned from one child to two. During a period where our toddler was struggling to accept his new little sister and dealing with some very big (and LOUD!) feelings, Laura helped give us a ton of good, concrete suggestions on loving ways that we could help him deal, and help our young baby have the time to get the attention she deserved too.  And above all she was patient and empathetic with two very tired, stressed out parents! We are now thankfully over the hump and would highly recommend having Laura help you too!”

“Laura is such a lovely and warm person, it was a pleasure to talk to her. As parents we often feel overwhelmed and worried; what Laura did with these feelings was amazing – within an hour she made me feel so positive and optimistic. She talked a lot about what was normal for a little shy girl to feel and do, she stressed all the advantages of our situation. It was a fantastic starting point! Then Laura presented a generous portion of strategies and tools we could use to help our daughter get more confident in social situations. It’s a process, but I already see how we’re making progress, with everyone being more relaxed! Thanks a lot Laura!”

“I contacted Laura because our 4 year old was having uncontrolled tantrums all the time. It’s been like walking on eggshells but it seemed that no matter what we did or didn’t do, something set him off. Time outs were not working at all. Redirecting him worked for a while, but that was pretty much the extent of our repertoire! We hoped Laura could give us more tools to work with because my husband and I were exhausted and out of ideas. Our son could go from extremely happy to throwing things, hitting and kicking in a matter of seconds. He is our 4th child so we thought we’d have parenting down— not so much! By asking for help, we were concerned about being judged or being told what we had to do to fix things. Laura is not that way at all. She really listened, asked questions, and absolutely never judged . She gave us incredible insight as to why his brain is being triggered and how we can help him get out of a tantrum mode once it starts. The techniques are specific to him and will be so helpful for us to teach him to master on his own as he matures. We highly recommend Laura to anyone who wants a fresh approach to the challenges of parenting in a positive, insightful way.”

“Laura worked with our family for a little over two years with my three children ranging from newborn to five years old. She came into our lives during our search for a nanny but quickly became so much more to us. She was not just a caretaker for my children but a part of our family. To know the person caring for your children genuinely appreciates them, recognizes their individuality, and loves them to the core is invaluable. Each day the kids looked forward to her arrival as she walked in with a big smile and her calming presence. At the end of the day they would share what projects they had done, books they read, adventures they went on and drawings they had done. She recognized quickly, often before me, the needs of the children. She became a mentor to me, as a mother, in how to navigate new challenges with a calm yet firm approach. She was open, honest, and always genuine. An example of Laura’s unique and calm approach is how she reads to the kids during lunch time, she found it kept their attention and they focused on eating lunch better. Laura truly loves children and family and we feel so fortunate that she became a part of ours. She is truly one of a kind!”

“I have had the incredibly pleasure of knowing Laura since 2015.  For over two years she was a nanny to our two small children.  To find someone you can trust your toddler and newborn baby with is not easy, but Laura made it one of the easiest decisions of our life.  Every moment she spent with our boys was filled with love, fun, safety and learning.  She showed great initiative with art projects to advance their learning and made reading an integral part of the children’s day.  Laura is an incredibly patient, kind, and thoughtful caregiver. I am honored that I was able to learn from her thoughtful and loving approach to parenting and I know she will be extremely helpful for other families as well.”

“As anyone can relate, finding the perfect caregiver to watch your young children while you’re at work is probably the most difficult job. I was researching home daycare for my 2 year old son while pregnant with a second child when I met Laura Reardon. I liked her immediately! Laura has a very kind, calm and comforting personality that made me feel special and welcome. My sons were in her daycare for about 3-4 years and grew a very strong bond with her. I was always impressed with Laura’s approach to child development from the beginning. She would structure her weeks based on various age appropriate activities for the children to explore: shapes, colors, numbers, animals, etc. Another quality that I was impressed with was her approach in helping young children resolve differences. Laura would encourage my boys to use words and express their feelings and encouraged them using positive reinforcement. I always picked my kids up with smiles on their faces and happy to tell me about their day. Laura exceeded in every expectation I had in caring for my boys. They have such wonderful memories from their time spent with her and are lucky enough to see her occasionally and still call her Miss Laura.”
