Do you have a stormy child?

Do they…

  • Lash out: hit, kick, throw, scratch, bite, push, scream, refuse to cooperate, challenge limits, use hurtful language, talk back in a disrespectful way, or act overly controlling?

  • Withdraw: run, hide, avoid eye contact, turn their body away, or stop responding?

  • People-please: act overly agreeable, constantly apologize, or lie to avoid conflict?

And does your child’s stormy behavior trigger your own stormy behavior?

Do you…

  • Lash out: yell, criticize, interrupt, shame, threaten, overreact with harsh consequences, or interact with your child in a forceful way?

  • Withdraw: storm away or ignore your child?

  • People-please: let go of boundaries, take responsibility for your child’s responsibilities, or avoid difficult conversations?

There is nothing wrong with you and there is nothing wrong with your child

Here’s the problem: Nervous system regulation is the foundation of behavior—but even modern parenting approaches fall short of offering a complete plan for your family—one that helps you regulate your own nervous system while also supporting your individual children in regulating theirs.

The Storm Plan

Inspired by the desire to create more peace in my own family—and to help other parents do the same—I spent five years researching and writing The Storm Plan.

The Storm Plan is a tiny book for busy parents who struggle with their child’s behavior and are ready for more peace.

Inside, you’ll find a simple and practical framework you can personalize—because every parent, family, and challenge is unique, so one-size-fits-all solutions don’t work:

  • When skies are clear
  • When a storm is brewing
  • When a storm has passed

This approach is rooted in nervous system regulation, naturally supporting your ability to show up as the parent you aspire to be and bring out the best in your child.

Designed for parents of toddlers through teens, this book is for families with both neurotypical and neurodivergent needs.

All in a tiny book because I know how busy you are. It’s not only concise but easy to read with bold headlines, underlined text, and bulleted lists so it will actually get read instead of just decorating your nightstand.

Discover how small shifts can create more peace in your everyday life.

Frequently Asked Questions

Coaching is not covered by insurance. Parents choose to invest in coaching because it helps them move from understanding the Storm Plan as a general framework to creating a personalized plan for more peace that fits them, their family, and their current challenges—guided by someone who has walked a similar path, understands what it feels like to be on it, and can help them see that change is possible in real life.

No, The CUSTOMIZED Storm Plan is not covered by insurance because it’s coaching, not therapy (although many therapists are no longer accepting insurance).

My clients choose to invest in The CUSTOMIZED Storm Plan because:

  • As a coach, what I teach is still unfamiliar to most pediatricians, therapists, educators, and child behavior specialists.
  • Unlike therapy that focuses on the past, coaching focuses on effective action that can be taken right away to create positive change.
  • Unlike therapy that is often a long-term journey, a CUSTOMIZED Storm Plan can give you immediate results.

It is helpful but not necessary.  I’ll guide you through the Storm Plan framework and together we’ll create a personalized plan.

That’s very common. We’ll focus on what’s within your control and how small, practical shifts can create more peace in your relationship and home.

Yes. As someone who worked as a licensed daycare provider and professional nanny for two decades, I understand the unique challenges of the position. If you purchase The CUSTOMIZED Storm Plan, you will have the option to add on additional sessions for your caregiver if you choose to.
